ORGANICID TECHNOLOGY
The average cost of a tag today is $0.45, and even though some have claimed price points less than $0.30, the reality of a RFID tag that is less than $0.05 is unapproachable with existing technology.
As a result, OrganicID is building on the current state of organic technology to develop a complete organic process that includes all circuit components at performances necessary to build a fully standardized, fully printable RFID tag. This tag will certainly cost less than $0.05 and will be closer to $0.01 to produce, thus enabling the item level tracking industry to take shape.

An organic transistor is constructed by successively depositing and patterning four layers of materials on an insulating substrate. There are a number of choices in the substrate materials, the materials used for subsequent layers, the deposition methods, and even the order in which these layers are deposited, and it is this combination combined with OrganicID's proprietary circuit designs which allow for the manufacturing of a fully standardized, fully printable RFID tag.
