PARTNERS

OrganicID is product focused, and works with partners for the acquision and development of materials.. We are developing an end-to-end organic process using the most compatible and reliable materials. In the last year, we have evaluated many materials, and have now formed a solid partnership team in the areas indicated below.

Print Development

In parallel to developing a process using a set of printable materials, In many ways, the organic materials are similar to graphic inks. However, there are key differences- electronic processes need improved deposition quality, thickness control, resolution, and registration tolerance. In some cases, enhancements to standard print equipment may be required. OrganicID has aligned itself with partners who have great experience in this type of print development.

P-type Semiconductor

OrganicID has evaluated many semiconductor materials in the last years, and has now narrowed down the choice of p-type semiconductor. The choosen p-type material achieves the transistor performance targets.

N-type Semiconductor

When both p-type and n-type organic semiconductor materials are available, it is possible to design using CMOS design. CMOS designs result in faster circuits while consuming less power. However, n-type semiconductor materials are a class of organic electronics that have only recently achieved the characteristics necessary to implement in circuits.

Non-Volatile Memory Polymer

A fully standardized RFID tag requires a rewriteable non-volatile memory. OrganicID is working with partners for this development.

Printable Conductors

OrganicID has evaluated several conducting inks. Our criteria is tough- we are looking for a relatively low resistance that can be deposited as thinly as possible to minimize topology onto subsequent layers must print. OrganicID has identified potential several partnership possibilities.

Barrier Technology

A barrier technology is needed to protect the circuit from its environment, including oxygen and water vapor to which some organic materials are sensitive. We are presently evaluating several barrier technologies.
