TeAM Chief Scientist - Ananth Dodabalapur, Ph. D Dr. Dodabalapur is a co-founder, and Chief Scientist of OrganicID. Since 2001, he has been a faculty member at The University of Texas at Austin and is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He holds the June and Gene Gillis Endowed Faculty Fellowship, and his research at The University of Texas includes organic and polymer semiconductor based devices, materials, sensors, and systems. Prior to his work at UT, Ananth was with Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, where he led investigations of various aspects of the physics and technology of organic and polymer semiconductor devices. He has published over 90 articles in refereed journals and has more than 30 US patents issued or pending office action. This research, done with various collaborators, on organic electronics/photonics was cited as one of the top 10 scientific breakthroughs for 2000 by Science magazine. Ananth has chaired many international conferences/symposia on organic semiconductors and photonics and serves on the editorial board of two journals. He is a winner of the 2002 National award for team innovation of the American Chemical Society, and a co-recipient of an R&D 100 award for 2001. Dr. Dodabalapur received his bachelors degree from the Indian Institute
of Technology, Madras (Chennai) in 1985, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in
Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1987
and 1990 respectively.
